About these terms
These terms apply when you use Viviq. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Viviq is a trade name of Imego B.V., registered at Malberg 10, de Meern, the Netherlands (KvK 54335523).
What Viviq does
Viviq is a food barcode scanner. It helps you check allergens, ingredients, and nutrition information for packaged food products.
Viviq gives you information to help you make choices. It is not a medical device. It does not give medical advice.
Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use Viviq.
Your account
You can try Viviq without an account. Some features (like saving your allergen profile and scan history) require an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe. If someone else uses your account, you are responsible for their actions.
Data accuracy
Product data in Viviq comes from several sources, including Open Food Facts (a community-maintained database) and European supermarkets. This data may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
Ingredients and allergens can change between product batches without the barcode changing. A product that was safe yesterday may not be safe today.
Always check the physical product label before eating. Viviq does not replace reading the label.
No medical advice
Viviq is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any health condition.
If you have a condition that requires strict dietary management (such as celiac disease, PKU, diabetes, or kidney disease), always consult your doctor or dietitian. Do not make health decisions based only on information in this app.
Subscriptions and payments
Viviq Plus is a paid subscription that gives you extra features. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time in the app.
If you cancel, you keep access to Viviq Plus until the end of your current billing period.
Your contributions
When you flag a product as incorrect or contribute other data, you give Viviq the right to use that contribution to improve the service for all users.
Helping improve Viviq
You can choose to help improve our ingredient recognition by sharing your scan images. This is optional and turned off by default.
If you opt in, your ingredient photos are kept for internal testing. If you opt out or delete your account, the photos are disconnected from your account but remain in our test set in anonymous form.
Limitation of liability
Viviq provides information, not guarantees. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the information in the app.
In any case, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for Viviq Plus in the last 12 months.
This does not limit our liability in cases where Dutch law does not allow such a limitation.
Changes to the service
We may change features, pricing, or these terms. If we make important changes, we will let you know in advance through the app.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app settings. When you delete your account, all your personal data is removed.
We may suspend or close your account if you misuse the service or break these terms.
Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms. If we cannot resolve a disagreement, it will be handled by the court in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
